The focus of my work is on the beauty and enigma of light and color and how time affects both. I use translucent supports, which create ambiguity about the surface location and shifts light/shadows, enabling me to subvert and activate the observer's experience. In unison with concepts developed by the Light and Space artists, the phenomena of light in natural environments is my foundational core.
Buddhist philosophy has taught me nothing is permanent. As homage to impermanence, I make work that shifts in appearance due to changes in light and the viewers’ location relative to the artwork.
